We are excited to announce a unique new role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work in our school-based program or clinic setting in Hartford County CT. As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you would have an opportunity to work in one of our many programs offered for child and adolescence. We offer intensive outpatient, group therapy, trauma services, substance abuse treatment, home based services, and various other treatment services. You would have an opportunity to join a team of social workers and a Psychiatrist and work in a collaborative work environment. As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you would be reporting to the medical director but would have a lot of autonomy and a flexible schedule. Our work environment is focused on team-oriented treatment so that all of our patients are given the ability to overcome each individual adversity. We are focused on delivering the highest quality care possible to the patient population that needs it most. The hours for this role would be during weekdays with a very flexible schedule. Our sites are open from 8am- 8pm some days and then 7am-5pm on others. There would be no weekends included. We are also open for part time as well. You must work a minimum of 21 hours for part time employment. 4-day work schedules and 5-day work schedules are both available. Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: Hartford County CT
Salary: $115,000 to $135,000, DOE
Benefits: PTO, 8 holidays offer, medical, 401k malpractice, tuition reimbursement

Seeing patients ages 3 to age 15 years of age
Performing psychiatric evaluations (1 hour allotted)
Medication management (30 minutes allotted)
Treating adolescence with ADHD, mood disorders, attachment disorder, autism spectrum disorder, Parental problems, and some psychotic disorders
Would be responsible for seeing 8-10 patients per day
Documenting notes in EMR system
Working closely with Psychiatrist and social workers
Designing treatment plans for patients and speaking with family members when necessary
Discussing routine treatments and providing some counseling in accordance with social workers

Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Preferred 1 year of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience
Active DEA license
Active Connecticut NP license
Graduate of accredited Master’s Degree Program
Experience with child and adolescence strongly preferred
