Title: Manager, SEC Reporting
Location: New York, NY
Salary: up to 110k plus bonus eligible
Our client, a highly specialized Accounting advisory firm, seeks a Manager of SEC Reporting to join their team.
The ideal candidate possess the following skills:
Coordinate and prepare SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy). Potentially guide client through the IPO readiness process.
Able to convey in original written correspondence and reports, complex technical matter in a clear and concise manner, adapted to the needs of technical and non-technical clients.
Requires a thorough knowledge of accounting methods and techniques and the ability to apply both in problem solving,
Skills in organizing, planning, controlling, coordinating, and delegating to effectively manage and achieve organizational goals.
Possesses strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to persuade and influence those with divergent opinions toward consensus.
Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts
undergraduate degree in Accounting, MBA Preferred
4 years of Accounting Advisory experience required as the soft skills of dealing with clients is what makes us successful, experience not limited to the Big 4.
Must be systems savvy, expert knowledge of Netsuite, Quickbooks and Excel.
Experience filing Form S-1 is preferred
SaaS or Technology industry experience with subscription and professional service revenue
Experience guiding client through external audits and the ability to design internal controls as they relate to Sarbanes Oxley
Expertise in all aspects of technical accounting matters including but not limited to ASC 606, 842 and 810; possess the ability to draft position papers in response to clients position
