Title: Nurse Educator
Location-: Brooklyn, NY (Bay Ridge)
Pay – 50-55 / Hour

Role Primary Purpose
It is the responsibility of the Clinical Educator to facilitate all aspects of clinical training for
Home Care Aides and Nursing staff.

Job Responsibilities of Nurse Educator

Administers written or oral performance tests as required by the curriculum
Assesses training needs and plans in-service education for Home Health Aides and nursing staff and certification training programs for Home Health Aides.
Conducts competencies and offsite Supervised Practical training for scheduled training classes.
Conducts Home Health Aide competencies for potential new hires.
Participates in orientation for newly hired nursing staff.
Facilitates the curriculum according to published Instructor and Student guides.
Facilitates training using an activity-based curriculum intended to develop the professional skills
Maintains current knowledge of trends in-home health care
Observes and evaluates student work to determine progress, provides feedback, and makes
Participates in information sessions for Home Health Aide training candidates
Participates in ongoing professional development, including but not limited to conference calls
one-on-one coaching, in-services, and peer observations
Plans in-service education programs in conjunction with Director of Patient Services
Prepares statistical and productivity reports as required by regulations, agency policies and/or as
requested by the Director of Clinical Services
Works with individuals of diverse backgrounds/experience levels managing differences in opinion
and perspective


Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in New York State
BSN preferred
Experience conducting Home Health Aide training and In-services.
Basic life support (BLS) certification
CHHA experience required
