Our client, an academic acute care center, is looking for an Assistant Director of Network Case Management for their growing Case Management department. As the Assistant Director of Network Case Management, you will be responsible for the multi-disciplinary Case Management teams and develop the strategic direction of the Case Management Department. The Assistant Director of Network Case Management assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and workflows. as well as, monitors the workflow and staff effectiveness and assures departmental goals are met.

Salary: $125,000+

Responsibilities:
Assists the Senior Director with determining staffing needs and operating budgets, directly responsible for ensuring that the department is staffed according to budget
Provides direct supervision of staff and assists in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of workflows to operationalize policies and procedures and ensure compliance with Health Plan, Regulatory Agencies and Contractual agreements
Serves as a liaison and resource to other divisions and departments within the system regarding issues related to case management and utilization review and workflows (including working with MIS and Claims)
Develops productive and collegial working relationships with providers, community-based programs, and contracted providers
Apprises the Senior Clinical Director and other members of the Senior Management team of developing and ongoing issues impacting optimal performance within areas of responsibility
Coordinates and oversees all activity associated with health plan audits, surveys, and annual audits
Assists in the creation of work tools (e.g. assessments) workflows and IT system configuration
May be required on occasion to gather, summarize and share pertinent data that is obtained from various information systems (e.g. Care Cast, EPF, ECIN, CCMS etc.) to facilitate collaboration of the clinical team

Requirements:
Current active RN license/registration in New York with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health-related fied, Master’s degree preferred
5+ years of clinical practice in an inpatient acute care medical center, preferably at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial experience and/or leadership skills
Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid benefits and guidelines, Case Management concepts, Quality Improvement techniques and Health care issues
