Global Market Research corporation that is a leader in digital data collection is building a new team of Sr. Level Data Platform developers to create a new cutting-edge Data Ingestion Pipeline Platform as well as several new and exciting products in the Big Data/Advanced Analytics space.
This corporation is looking for a hands-on Lead Data Platform developer who can over see a small team of developers, drive the end to end development lifecycle and also be involved in architecting PoC’s and frameworks for new Cutting-edge Data Platform.
This Lead Developer will play an instrumental role in developing and architecting data pipeline frameworks to automate high volume and real time data delivery.
This is also the opportunity to transition into the Market Research and Advanced Analytics industry without previous experience!

Title: Lead Data Platform Developer
Location: Trumbull, CT
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 + Bonus

Requirements:
-Strong combination of hands on development and design expertise and well as strong leadership skills
-At least 2+ years in managing an engineering team and with agile development practices
-3+ years with Spark streaming and SQL
-Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Dynamo DB, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
-7+ years of experience with several programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
-Experience in data warehousing with Hive and a scalable store such as Snowflake or Redshift
-5+ years in data warehousing, preferably within a data platform
-5+ years in ETL with semi-structured and unstructured data sets
-Preferably – experience architecting with public cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
-Strong understanding distributed system principles of load balancing, scaling, in-memory vs. disk
-Ability to work efficiently with source code management systems like GIT and SVN
-Familiar with DevOps – automated deployment tools
-Exposure to micro-service architecture/design a major plus
