Title: Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
Location: Tarrytown, NY
Salary: $115,000 to $130,000
Responsible for preparation and/or review of financial information and disclosures in the Company’s publicly filed information, including 10-Qs/10-Ks, Earnings Releases, Proxy Statement, statutory financial statements, etc.
Prepares sections of the Company’s financial statements and disclosures filed with the SEC, and assists in ensuring all disclosures are complete, accurate, and in accordance with GAAP.
Performs accounting research (including GAAP & IFRS) to ensure agreements and complex transactions are properly accounted for.
Review contracts to determine proper accounting treatment.
Build working relationships with various members of management from other departments, including General Accounting, Legal, Tax, Finance, Treasury, and Business Development.
Prepares and updates accounting policies and internal controls documentation.
Supervises, coaches, and reviews the work of others.
Liaises directly with external auditors on a number of matters, including discussing proposed accounting for complex transactions as well as their review/tie out of the financial statements.
BS Accounting, Master’s is a plus
Big 4 experience and CPA preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting. Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is a plus.
