Position Summary:

The Senior Pre-Construction Manager will collaborate with Project Executives and Estimators to develop detailed preconstruction plans that ensure the successful execution of upcoming projects.
This role involves the development and implementation of procedural guidelines for job site operations and training on these procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop procedural guidelines for job site operations and assist in implementation and training.
Mentor and guide Assistant Superintendents and Area Superintendents, acting as a resource for field staff.
Develop preconstruction schedules and logistics plans.
Assist in the estimating and buyout process.
Train field staff on procedures.
Assist the General Superintendent and Director of Field Operations in monitoring projects.
Mentor and develop field staff for future growth within the organization.
Manage the Pre-Construction Coordinator, Assistant Estimator, Pre-Construction Engineer, Estimator, and Senior Estimator roles.
Actively monitor all team projects and resources.
Establish and conduct checks of in-process estimations.
Identify key scopes and qualifications for Estimators to include.
Build specific qualifications and coordinate with Project Executives and Field Operations.
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and external customers.
Manage subcontractor relationships and monitor market conditions.
Perform buyout for projects in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Coordinate with the internal training and learning program.
Ensure comprehensive estimates and adequately scoped subcontractors.
Create schematic and conceptual estimates.

Qualifications:

Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent presentation and command skills.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Must be able to comprehend and communicate technical information.
Experience in subcontractor and vendor management.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
10 to 15 years of Construction Management experience.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and P6.
