Quality Assurance/Point of Care Coordinator

We are an acute care medical center and a proud member of a large neighboring academic Health System looking for a Quality Assurance/Point of Care Coordinator to join our growing Department of Laboratories. As the Quality Assurance/Point of Care Coordinator you will work closely with the chemistry supervisor applying practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical chemistry as it applies to point of care testing activities. This position overlaps all areas where point of care testing takes place, on-site, and off-site.

Title: Quality Assurance/Point of Care Coordinator
Location: White Plains, NY
Hours: Monday – Friday 8 am-4 pm
Salary: $90,000 to $115,000

Responsibilities:
Oversees all aspects of point of care operation and testing, point of care validation and quality measures
Oversees the quality assurance and proficiency testing programs for point of care ensuring the point of care instrument interface is maintained and operational.
Performs dictionary maintenance on point of care interface and acts as liaison between lab and nursing leadership as it relates to point of care testing to assure regulatory compliance of point of care testing personnel.
Reviews all point of care reports, ensures regulatory requirements are met regarding proper use of point of care testing, and assists with staff training as required.

Requirements:
B.S. degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science required
New York State Medical Technologist license required
ASCP or NCA certification preferred with related hospital experience
