Senior Estimator – Concrete & Carpentry Construction
Salary: $100,000–$140,000
Location: Worcester County, MA
Type: Full-Time
Overview:
A reputable general contractor is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with expertise in concrete construction and general carpentry. This role focuses on self-performed work estimating and excludes General Conditions, site work, and process/equipment scopes. The ideal candidate will lead preconstruction efforts, manage bid teams, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead architectural and structural estimating for commercial and industrial projects
Perform quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment analysis, and cost breakdowns
Review subcontractor bids, conduct scope reviews, and develop project schedules
Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects
Present final estimates to leadership and support project handoff to operations
Supervise and mentor 2–4 junior estimators

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
7–10 years of experience in construction estimating, including leadership roles
Strong background in concrete estimating, carpentry estimating, and self-performed work
Proficient in estimating software (Sage/Timberline, PlanSwift, ISqFt, Microsoft Office)
Familiarity with design-build projects, prevailing wage rates, and public bidding rules
Valid driver’s license
