We are a Connecticut-based civil construction firm with a strong portfolio of infrastructure projects across the region. Our team specializes in delivering high-quality, technically complex work through innovative construction methods and collaborative project delivery. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Estimator to support our growing pipeline of civil infrastructure projects.

Job Title: Civil Construction Estimator
Location: Oxford, Connecticut
Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary:
The Estimator will play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates for a wide range of civil construction projects. This includes analyzing project documents, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and developing detailed proposals that reflect the scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure alignment on scope and constructability.
Develop and submit bids for public and private sector projects.
Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and value engineering discussions.
Ensure estimates reflect company capabilities and strategic goals.

Bridge Construction & Rehabilitation
Steel Repairs, Steel & Concrete Beam Erection
Formwork & Falsework systems
Slipformed Concrete Parapets
Concrete Pavement installation
Roadway Drainage and stormwater management
Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, preferably in heavy highway or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of DOT specifications, construction methods, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bid2Win, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
