Location: Southington, CT
Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 per year

A respected and privately held construction management firm based in Farmington, CT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial, institutional, and healthcare construction projects. The company is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to quality, and long-standing relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage budgets, schedules, and teams while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants.
Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment and accountability.
Mentor and support junior project managers and project engineers.
Financial Oversight
Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures.
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and pay applications.
Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for senior leadership.
Risk & Compliance
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
Provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover packages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
7+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial or institutional construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
