Superintendent

A top-10 national construction management firm with impressive history spanning over a century is looking for a Superintendent to run day-to-day field operations on major commercial and industrial projects: schools, hospitals, labs, corporate offices, sports venues and more. This is a family-owned company known for investing heavily in its people, with a dedicated internal university for leadership and technical training.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 + benefits and retirement program

Responsibilities:

Coordinate trade partners and sub-contractors to keep work on schedule and up to quality standards
Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to proactively head off potential problems
Participate in constructability review and identify change impacts
Act as primary safety representative on site
Lead contractor meetings and maintain accurate daily reports
Build and maintain the project schedule, including contingency planning
Oversee project quality plans and inspections
Coach and mentor Field Engineers on project and business knowledge
Assist with scope of work writing, buyout, and T&M tracking
Lead stretch and flex, daily huddles, and pre-task plan reviews

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
4–8 years in a superintendent role on $15M–$30M+ commercial/industrial projects
OSHA 30-hour and STS-C certified
First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed trained
Strong knowledge of construction divisions, scheduling, and cost control
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction scheduling software
Understanding of general requirements financial forecasting
Ability to enforce a “safety first” culture on site
