Financial Institutions Group (FIG) – Investment Banking Associate
Salary: $1750,000 – $200,000 + Bonus
Location: New York, NY (Hybird)

Overview:
A leading boutique investment banking platform focused exclusively on the global insurance and broader financial institutions sector is seeking a highly driven Associate to join its growing FIG team. The Associate will play a critical role in supporting transaction execution, preparing client deliverables, conducting financial analysis, and helping senior bankers manage and grow client relationships. This is a high-visibility position for someone looking to build a career in FIG with a particular focus on insurance, specialty finance, and other financial services verticals.

Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions within FIG, with a strong emphasis on insurance.
• Prepare detailed financial models, valuations, and other quantitative analyses.
• Draft client materials including pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, and board materials.
• Conduct industry and company research, staying up to date on market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes in the FIG sector.
• Work closely with Vice Presidents and Partners/Managing Directors to coordinate due diligence processes, data rooms, and third-party workstreams.
• Maintain and update industry databases, transaction comps, and financial metrics.
• Participate in client calls, internal strategy sessions, and deal team meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and outreach strategies for prospective clients.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or consulting (FIG or insurance sector experience preferred).
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality client materials under tight deadlines.
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Series 79, 63, and 7 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to excellence.
