Title – FIG (Financial Institutions Group) Investment Banking – MD
Location(s) – New York, NY
Salary – $300,000 to $400,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities:

Lead the FIG Investment Banking effort for the firm
Source new mandates and contribute to an active FIG deal pipeline
Drive origination activities, prepare pitches and materials, and build long-term client relationships within financial services
Partner closely with Senior FIG MDs and Directors to expand market share and strengthen the group’s competitive position
Advise on primarily sell-side M&A transactions across the FIG landscape
Support and lead capital raising activities where applicable
Oversee and manage the due diligence process on live transactions
Provide mentorship, strategic guidance, and leadership to Directors and junior bankers
Evaluate market data and understand real-time trends within financial services, regulation, and capital markets
Demonstrate deep expertise across FIG subsectors—experience in any FIG niche is highly valuable, including:
Banks & Thrifts
Specialty Finance
Insurance & InsurTech
Asset & Wealth Management
FinTech
Financial Infrastructure & Payments
Broker-Dealers and Capital Markets Firms
Credit, Lending &

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 15+ years of relevant experience—Investment Banking or a blend of Banking and Corporate Advisory
• Strong M&A experience across both buy-side and sell-side
• Established track record as a FIG MD at a reputable platform
• Must be able to run a book of business and serve as a sector expert
• Demonstrated history of deal origination and client development
• Mid-market experience is a strong plus; elite boutique background also welcomed
