Title: Industrials Investment Banking – Associate
Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 + Bonus
Location: New York, NY – Possible Chicago, IL location

Day to Day – Responsibilities

* Execute and support buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from pitch through closing
* Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materials
* Support Industrials MDs and senior bankers across live transactions and strategic assignments
* Assist with deal sourcing, business development and origination activities
* Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, management presentations and other client materials
* Conduct company, industry and market research across Industrials sub-sectors
* Participate in due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, legal advisors, accounting firms and other third parties
* Develop and maintain knowledge of current Industrials market trends, valuations and M&A activity
* Work toward developing long-term relationships and expertise within a specific Industrials sub-sector
* Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts while contributing to a collaborative team environment
* Take increasing ownership of transaction execution and client-facing responsibilities
* Travel as needed to support clients and transactions

Basic Investment Banker Requirements

* BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field
* 3–5 years of relevant Investment Banking experience
* Strong M&A execution experience is required
* Experience working on both buy-side and sell-side transactions preferred
* Industrials experience strongly preferred, particularly within Industrial Services, Environmental Services, Logistics & Transportation, Aerospace & Defense, Chemicals or Industrial Technology
* Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills
* Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior bankers and clients
* Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses preferred
* Willingness to travel as needed by clients
* Strong interest in building a long-term career within Industrials Investment Banking
