Title: Insurance Investment Banking – Associate
Salary: $200,000 +Bonus
Location: New York, NY (On Site)
Responsibilities:
• Support end-to-end execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the Insurance sector, with a focus on buy-side and sell-side mandates
• Play a key role in transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and deal structuring
• Prepare pitch materials, marketing decks (CIMs), management presentations, and client deliverables
• Build and maintain detailed financial models for M&A and financing transactions
• Conduct industry, company, and market research across Insurance Carriers, Distribution/Services, and InsurTech
• Assist in due diligence processes, including data room management, Q&A coordination, and analysis of diligence findings
• Work closely with Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors on live deals and origination efforts
• Analyze market data and track current M&A trends, valuation multiples, and comparable transactions in real time
• Coordinate internally with Analysts and review their work for accuracy and quality
• Interact directly with clients, counterparties, and advisors as part of transaction execution
• Support firm and group growth initiatives as part of a growing Insurance-focused platform
Requirements:
• BA/BS with a major in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory, or Transaction Advisory
• Prior FIG and/or Insurance exposure strongly preferred (not mandatory for entry-level Associates)
• Experience supporting M&A transactions, including financial modeling and valuation work
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills across M&A and capital markets transactions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed for client engagements
• Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses preferred or willingness to obtain
