Investment Banking VP

We have been engaged by a national mid-market full-service Investment Banking platform to bring on an experienced VP. They are currently looking for a DCM focused Investment Banker.
On this platform you will have the chance to report directly to the senior MD. Additionally, you will be given a chance to start your entrepreneurial journey to originate and bring in deals. As a VP this is something that is very rarely a part of your day to day. However, on a lean team, as you execute you can build your book of business.

Title: Investment Banking – Vice President
Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 +Bonus
Location: Chicago, IL (On-site)

Responsibilities:
• Source opportunities and possibly bring on deals in the DCM area of Investment Banking
• Be aware of market trends, analyze data to source new business
• Learn and stay up to date about different industry verticals
• Work closely with MDs, junior resources and the overall Investment Banking team
• Lead the due diligence process of deals
• Work with internal and external advisors of the deals
• Lead transactions execution while juggling multiple projects
• Client engagement, set expectations and follow through in the transaction lifecycle
• Become a leader and mentor juniors on the team

Requirements:
• BA/BS with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
• Anywhere between 5 yrs – 10 yrs of relevant experience, only Banking or combination of Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory
• MBA is highly preferred but not required
• Debt Advisory, Restructuring and or a mix of M&A experience is a must
• Licenses preferred are Series 7, 79 & 63
• Open to travel as needed by clients,
• Be onsite and in the local office
• Must have a track record of leading small teams (4-6 junior Bankers)
• Minimum of 5 yrs of Investment Banking experience is ideal
