Title: Tax Supervisor or Senior – ASC 740 Focus
Location: Remote (New York, NY-based firm)
Salary: Competitive base + Bonus (commensurate with experience)

What You Will Do:
Prepare and review ASC 740 tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations
Perform effective tax rate (ETR) reconciliation, deferred roll-forwards, and valuation allowance assessments
Analyze temporary and permanent differences and document financial reporting impacts
Complete detailed deferred tax analyses, including stock-based compensation and related adjustments
Prepare audit-ready workpapers and support auditor inquiries
Collaborate directly with client finance teams and external auditors
Prepare and review federal, multi-state, and consolidated tax filings across multi-entity structures
Support international tax components, including Forms 5471, GILTI calculations, and foreign reporting considerations
Identify tax planning opportunities and support compliance and pre-audit activities
Qualifications Needed:
4–7+ years of public accounting experience with significant ASC 740 exposure
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or EA required
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 and GAAP financial reporting
Experience with public companies, SPACs, or venture-backed organizations
Background in quarterly/annual provision cycles and financial statement audits
Ability to independently manage engagements and document technical tax positions
Advanced Excel skills and experience preparing provision workpapers
Familiarity with CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, or similar tax and engagement tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks
