Jr Accountant

A growing financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations and reporting functions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team in a client-focused, high-integrity environment.

About the Role
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close processes, and preparing reporting across a variety of client structures. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Title: Junior Accountant/Staff Accountant
Location: Darien, CT 1 day remote
Potential Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 +Bonus

Key Responsibilities

Support general ledger activities, including cash management, bill pay, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close processes
Prepare monthly financial reports for individuals, operating entities, trusts, and foundations
Maintain organized monthly workpaper files and supporting documentation
Communicate regularly with clients and external partners
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including tax and advisory functions
Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2–4 years of accounting experience
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
