Title: Application Architect
Location: Buffalo, NY
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 + bonus potential

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior technical leader guiding enterprise application and integration architecture
Define current-state and future-state architectures across multiple business domains
Establish standards for applications, integrations, and data flows to ensure scalability and consistency
Lead and support system integration, modernization, and application rationalization efforts
Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Provide architectural oversight during implementations, integrations, and data migration initiatives
Evaluate existing systems and recommend strategies to retain, replace, retire, or modernize platforms
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and long-term technology roadmaps
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of full-stack development experience, including time as a technical lead
5+ years of experience in application or solution architecture roles
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional implementations and integrations
Strong understanding of enterprise application ecosystems (ERP, HRIS, billing systems, integration platforms)
Preferred:
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformations or mergers
Background in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, energy, financial services)
Experience with cloud-based platforms and hybrid architectures
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical teams and executive stakeholders
