Title: Associate IT Project Manager
Location: Middletown, CT -Hybrid (once the candidate gets up to speed, this person will only have to come into the office 1 day every 3 weeks or so)
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 +Bonus
This is a smaller, highly collaborative IT department, which means you won’t be stuck in a silo. You’ll touch infrastructure work, Azure cloud configuration projects, IT operations, PC refresh/retooling efforts, and select information security initiatives. You’ll partner closely with system administrators, engineers, and business stakeholders while learning how to drive full project lifecycles end-to-end.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of coordinating and managing multiple IT projects at once—typically involving 3–6 technical team members, sometimes more depending on the initiative. You’ll work directly with internal customers to define scope, gather requirements, outline the plan, identify dependencies, track progress, and ensure the project aligns with broader business goals.
This role requires someone who can spot gaps early, ask smart questions, and keep teams aligned. Strong communication, critical thinking, and follow-through are essential.
You’ll work with a blend of Agile-leaning processes and more traditional Waterfall structure depending on the nature of each project. The team uses Jira, but experience with MS Project or similar tools translates well.
Why This Role Is Different
Because this is not a massive enterprise environment, you won’t be buried in layers of process or stuck coordinating tiny portions of a huge program. You’ll see the full picture, manage full lifecycles, and work directly with leadership. You’ll also be mentored by the Head of Project Management, giving you guidance and growth support from day one.
They ask for onsite presence four days per week during the first month so you can learn the environment, team, and workflows. After that, the role becomes primarily remote, with onsite visits roughly once every three weeks.
What You Need to Succeed
• Approximately 2–3 years of experience supporting or managing IT projects
• Ability to drive timelines, coordinate technical teams, and keep projects moving
• Experience defining scope, identifying risks, and managing day-to-day project activities
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with Jira, MS Project, or similar project management tools
• Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous initiatives without dropping details

• Exposure to Azure, infrastructure, or IT operations environments
