Title: Lead AI Engineer
Salary: $150,000 – 180,000 +Bonus
Location: Remote

We’re looking for a Lead AI Engineer to join a growing AI team that is building and expanding enterprise AI solutions used across multiple business units throughout North America.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You’ll spend time designing solutions, writing code, reviewing architecture, mentoring engineers, and helping drive the direction of the AI platform. If you’re looking for a position where you can still be deeply involved in engineering while taking on more leadership and architectural responsibility, this could be a great fit.
The team is building AI-powered applications, intelligent automation solutions, RAG-based systems, agentic workflows, and integrations with enterprise platforms. The work is real, production-focused, and highly visible within the organization.

What You’ll Be Working On
• Designing and building AI solutions that solve business problems at scale
• Developing RAG pipelines, AI assistants, and agent-based applications
• Integrating LLMs with internal systems and business applications
• Building APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Working within Microsoft Azure to deploy, secure, and manage AI solutions
• Helping establish engineering standards, code quality practices, and architectural guidelines
• Reviewing code and mentoring other developers on the team
• Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate new use cases and solutions

What We’re Looking For
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years working with AI, machine learning, or enterprise AI solutions
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience building and deploying AI applications in Azure
• Experience with RAG architectures, vector search, and LLM integrations
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks
• Ability to lead technical discussions and guide other engineers
• Strong understanding of architecture, scalability, security, and maintainability

Nice to Have
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Node.js experience
• CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as SAP, SharePoint, or Confluence
