Title: Construction Accountant
Location: Pautucket, RI
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000.00

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Cost Project Accountant. This role will support multiple construction projects and work closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting, job cost tracking, and budget control.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage job cost accounting for multiple construction projects
• Track project budgets, costs, commitments, and change orders
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, job profitability, and variance analysis
• Review and process subcontractor pay applications and invoices
• Assist with monthly close related to project accounting
• Work closely with project managers to provide accurate and timely financial information
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
• Support audits and provide documentation as needed
• Assist with process improvements and system efficiencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in construction accounting required
• Strong background in cost accounting and job costing within a construction environment
• Experience working with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar)
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, AIA billing, and retainage
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
