We are a rapidly growing non-profit physician-led network of 2,500 healthcare providers, delivering culturally competent care, to patients in some of New York City’s most vulnerable populations. We are looking for a Financial Staff Accountant
with prior healthcare experience to join our reporting and reconciliation team. As the Financial Staff Accountant you will be involved in the monhly closing process, accruals of administrative liabilities, balance sheet account analyses and more.

Position: Financial Staff Accountant – Healthcare
Location: Bronx, NY – ONSITE first 6 months then goes HYBRID
Hours: Mon-Fri – 9 am-5 pm
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

Responsibilities:

Contributes to the monthly closing process with the issuance of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reporting and successful completion of certified financial statements by regulatory/tax-related filings.
Analyses components of financial statements identifying emerging trends and recommends adjustments to the chart of accounts, product and MCO contract reporting structure, and internal administrative departments.
Reconciles interfaces to the general ledtger from third party administrators, MCOs, state regulators, and internal sources such as payroll and fringe benefits from H/R systems.
Prepares adjustments to financial statements, including revenue, medical and administrative expenses and assists in budgeting process for financials and grant proposals
Assists daily with AP invoices by reviewing and processing vendor invoices against contract agreements, obtaining proper approvals and supporting documents, and payment tracking and analysis.
Places AR Invoices into accounting Software and when needed assists with ad-hoc reporting

Requirements
.
Must have two to four years RELATED HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE performing financial accounting analysis and knowledge of Health Insurance accounting.
Familiarity with government program financial reporting a strong plus.
Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook with knowledge of Tableau a plus
Has the ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple deliverables, anticipate needs, craft and implement solutions and build collaborative relationships with operational and program stakeholders within the organization.
