Salary: $60,000 to $80,000

Responsibilities for Float Registered Nurse:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and women’s health patients
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with providers to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform patient triage for walk-in, urgent, and telephone encounters
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, medications, preventive care, and treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to healthcare providers
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
• Utilize sound clinical judgment in both routine and urgent patient care situations
• Support quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals
• Maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications for Float Registered Nurse:
• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• CPR Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of professional nursing practice and patient-centered care
• Experience with patient assessment, triage, medication administration, and care coordination
• Ability to provide culturally competent care to diverse patient populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
• Comfortable utilizing electronic health records and healthcare technology
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and positive health outcomes
