LCSW / LMHC – Clinical Supervisor

A leading behavioral health organization is seeking a Clinical Supervisor (LCSW or LMHC) to join its community-based behavioral health program in Brooklyn. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mental health professional with strong clinical leadership skills and a passion for recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care.
The Clinical Supervisor will support the day-to-day clinical operations of the program, provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with behavioral health needs.
The program utilizes a step-down, community-based, peer-led continuing care model designed to support individuals transitioning from intensive services toward greater independence and readiness for traditional outpatient care. Services are flexible and individualized, with an emphasis on long-term recovery, stability, wellness, and community integration.
Services may include psychiatric assessment and medication management, care coordination, counseling, case management, peer support, wellness and psychoeducation, coping-skills development, self-management, and social integration.

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11207
Salary: $92,700 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with two required late days per week from 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:
• Assist with oversight of the program’s day-to-day clinical operations, including intake assessments, service planning, clinical interventions, and discharge planning.
• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to program staff.
• Provide ongoing coaching, consultation, and clinical guidance to staff.
• Develop and facilitate staff training on relevant behavioral health topics, including co-occurring disorders and motivational interviewing.
• Model and promote recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of evidence-based practices for individuals with behavioral health needs, including those involved with the criminal justice system.
• Promote the integration of risk-need-responsivity principles and risk assessment/management practices into clinical operations.
• Conduct quality assurance chart reviews and clinical audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
• Assist with the review and maintenance of high-risk client lists.
• Participate in incident review processes and serve as an on-site clinical resource during crises and high-risk situations.
• Assist with management of the program’s 24/7 crisis phone service.
• Train new staff on electronic health record systems, standardized clinical workflows, and billing-related documentation.
• Collaborate with administrative leadership, medical leadership, quality assurance, information services, facilities, and fiscal teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Participate in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of program staff.
• Maintain a limited caseload and provide direct clinical services and crisis intervention as needed.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation.
• Perform other clinical and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Active New York State LCSW or LMHC license required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical supervision experience preferred.
• Knowledge of New York State OMH regulations and Part 599 requirements for Article 31 licensed clinics preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus.
• Must maintain current licensure and registration throughout employment.
• Must be eligible for full and unrestricted participation in Medicaid and Medicare programs.
