Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

This nonprofit healthcare and social services organization has been a leader in advocacy and direct care since the early 1990s. With a long-term commitment to harm reduction and community-based services, the organization established New York State’s first harm reduction-based, OASAS-licensed outpatient drug treatment program. Today, services include health home care management, behavioral health, syringe exchange programs, and other community support initiatives.

It also plays an active role in advocating for funding and legislation to ensure underserved communities have access to housing, healthcare, prevention, and treatment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in psychiatric evaluations to support housing applications. This individual will play a critical role in assessing the mental health needs of applicants and providing comprehensive clinical recommendations that support their housing access.

Location: Manhattan NY

Compensation: $78,000- $80,000

Key Responsibilities for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status, diagnoses, treatment history, and clinical recommendations.
Provide high-quality behavioral health assessments through a telehealth platform.
Collaborate virtually with colleagues to deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to clients’ needs.
Ensure confidentiality and security for all client interactions and medical records.
Assess risk levels and develop/implement safety plans when necessary.
Participate in case conferences to support coordination of client care and housing applications.
Generate timely and accurate encounter notes, diagnoses, and CPT coding.
Attend weekly supervision sessions and remain engaged in ongoing training and certifications.
Contribute to agency-wide quality assurance and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) :

Master’s degree in Social Work with an active LCSW license in New York State.
Demonstrated experience in telehealth psychotherapy and evidence-based practices.
Familiarity with the housing application process
