Salary: $72,000 to $107,000

Responsibilities for Pediatric Registered Nurse:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Triage patients both in person and over the phone
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Administer medications and vaccinations under provider orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, vaccinations, and treatment plans
• Serve as back-up Vaccine Coordinator and support immunization program activities
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare team members, specialty providers, and community resources
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental committees
• Serve as a clinical resource to Medical Assistants and support staff
• Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards

Qualifications for Pediatric Registered Nurse:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• One to two years of nursing experience preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred but not required
• Recent nursing graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
