We have an exciting new opportunity to join our non profit organization that has been rapidly expanding our treatment services in the mental health field for over 30 years. We are seeking a Psychiatric Registered nurse to work in one of our programs in the Bronx. You would join a collaborative and supportive team of RN’s, Nurse Practitioners, Social workers, and physicians. This opportunity would be a Monday through Friday schedule working 9- 5pm with no weekends and no on call. Full benefits included! Please see job highlights below for more info.

Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse
Location: Bronx NY
Compensation: $100,000 to $104,000 + full comprehensive benefits

Responsibilities
• Provide at least 80% of medication management and health services in the community: oral and intramuscular medication administration, monitoring of side effects and adherence, phlebotomy, coordination of health care services, psychoeducation on health and medications, mental status assessment, and rotating coverage of the
after-hours emergency line
• Complete progress notes, nursing assessments, and incident reports per OMH regulations, DOHMH guidelines, and Medicaid billing standards
• Collaborate with the prescribers and LPN on medication management, health care services, and medication schedules
• Coordinate care with families, hospitals, housing providers, shelter staff, criminal justice personnel, AOT, and primary care providers
• Participate in daily team meetings, clinical meetings, and monthly nurses meetings

Qualifications:
• RN with current New York State license
• Associates Degree of Nursing
• BLS
• At least 1 year of experience with adults 18+ in psychiatric nursing, substance use treatment, or social services serving individuals experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, or limited social support
