Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Queens, NY
Salary + Benefits: $95,000–$100,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, generous PTO, vacation and sick time, CME allowance, 403(b) retirement plan, and transportation assistance
Responsibilities of Psychiatric Registered Nurse:
• Provide direct patient care focused on health maintenance, illness prevention, and ongoing case management
• Educate patients on physical health, nutrition, lifestyle habits, and overall mental wellness
• Collaborate closely with Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans
• Conduct therapeutic interactions and counseling under clinical guidance
• Deliver care in community-based settings as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR system
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and regular chart reviews
• Oversee and coordinate nursing interventions to ensure continuity of care
• Address both medical and psychiatric needs in collaboration with providers
• Respond to crises and provide emergency support when necessary
Requirements of Psychiatric Registered Nurse:
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) preferred
• At least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Experience in community-based or field work settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
