Psychiatrist (2 days per week)

Title:Psychiatrist (MD)
Location:Manhattan Shelter ACT Team
Salary + Benefits:
• $180 per hour
• Part-time: 2 days per week (approximately 14 hours)
• Flexible schedule: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Malpractice insurance provided
• 100% employer-paid unlimited MetroCard
• Vehicle available if needed for work responsibilities
• No on-call, nights, or weekend coverage

Responsibilities of Psychiatrist:
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for adult patients (primarily ages 18+)
• Manage and oversee a monthly caseload of approximately 34 patients
• Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment as part of an ACT Team
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Participate in on-site team meetings twice per week at the Manhattan location
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using the Foothold Awards EMR system
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate psychiatric care in a shelter-based environment

Requirements of Psychiatrist:
• MD or DO with completion of an accredited psychiatry residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
• Active New York State medical license
• Eligible for and able to obtain DEA registration
• Experience treating adult psychiatric populations preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ACT Team model
