As the Quality Improvement & Risk Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in strengthening clinical excellence, enhancing operational quality, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and compliance.

Title: Quality Improvement Registered Nurse
Location: Long Island City NY
Compensation: $100,000-$105,000 + benefits

Responsibilities of Quality Improvement Registered Nurse:
Quality Improvement:
• Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Team to conduct medical record audits and identify opportunities for clinical and operational enhancement.
• Assist in the development, review, and revision of organizational policies and procedures related to Emergency Preparedness, Safety, and Quality Improvement programs.
• Perform compliance audits related to medical records, including:
o Valid release of information documentation
o Vaccine for Children (VFC) eligibility requirements
o Accurate patient registration information and communication records
• Coordinate annual review and updates of organizational forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Promote a culture of safety by encouraging staff to report incidents promptly and use reporting processes as tools for organizational learning and improvement.
• Coordinate and monitor quarterly fire drills, security drills, and emergency preparedness testing.
• Conduct monthly quality audits and present findings and recommendations to department leaders and the Quality Improvement/Compliance Committee.
• Lead monthly Quality Improvement meetings and ensure departments are tracking key performance measures and outcomes.
• Monitor completion of QI assessments and quarterly reporting requirements across all departments.
• Partner with leadership to implement initiatives that improve patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements of Quality Improvement Registered Nurse:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Previous experience in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Compliance, or Healthcare Operations.
• Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical record standards, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Experience with quality audits, performance improvement initiatives, and clinical documentation review.
• Knowledge and experience with vaccine programs, including VFC requirements, preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
