We are an acute care medical center and a member of a neighboring academic Health System looking for a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our growimg Cath Lab. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist through the utilization of specialized equipment assists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, setting up imaging equipment, patient monitoring, procedure documentation and equipment circulator as well as a scrub assistant who works in an environment with the application of ionizing radiation for Cardiac, Electrophysiology, and other Vascular procedures.
Position: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
Location: White Plains, NY
Hours: Mon-Fri; 8a-6p, 9a-7p, 10a-8p varied shifts
Salary: $80,000 – $118,000 (Depending on Experience) with a Sign On Bonus :$10,000
Responsibilities:
Assists Invasive cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterization procedures and performs patient preparation for cardiac/EP/peripheral procedures. Assist with patient care in the intra procedural and pre/post procedural setting
Prepares procedure room for Cardiac, Electrophysiological, and Peripheral procedures, obtains necessary equipment for procedure scheduled according to physician’s preference
Assists Cardiologist in analytical calculations and interpretive measurements for diagnostic values and utilizes standards and guidelines for cost-effective patient care
Knowledgeable in electrocardiogram and hemodynamic pressure tracing interpretation and proficient in reviewing and abstracting pertinent patient information before, during, and after procedures
Demonstrates proficiency in Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), IFR, RFR, OCT, and other additional catheter based imaging modalities
Requirements:
A graduate of a certificate or degree program or post-secondary educational program in health science (includes but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT).
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
Successful completion of scrub technician training program or hospital-based training program
One-year scrub technician or cardiac technician experience preferred.
BLS, ACLS required and RCIS preferred
