Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (Adult Medicine):
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in accordance with established clinical standards and best practices
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
• Perform patient triage for walk-in, urgent, and telephone encounters
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions safely and effectively
• Educate patients regarding health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to providers as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Exercise sound clinical judgment in both routine and urgent patient situations
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications for Registered Nurse (Adult Medicine):
• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• CPR Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• At least one year of professional nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing principles and evidence-based practice
• Experience with patient assessment, education, medication administration, and care coordination
• Ability to effectively triage and prioritize patient care needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide culturally competent care to diverse patient populations
• Comfortable utilizing electronic health record systems and healthcare technology
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and positive health outcomes
