School Based Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant for a school-based primary care role in East Harlem. This is a great opportunity to deliver comprehensive, case-managed care to pediatric patients while contributing to quality improvement and program development in a supportive clinical setting. Title: School Based Physician Assistant
Location: New York, NY
Salary + Benefits: $130,000 to $135,000 per year (DOE)

Responsibilities for School Based Physician Assistant:
• Provide comprehensive, case-managed primary care services to pediatric patients in an ambulatory setting at school sites and the health center
• Perform patient assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications
• Manage acute and chronic health issues while coordinating follow-up care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families to support student health needs
• Contribute to quality assurance, staff development, and other clinical and programmatic functions
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

Requirements for School Based Physician Assistant:
• Current New York State Physician Assistant license
• Master’s degree
• CPR and Infection Control certification
• NYS Medicaid/Medicare provider numbers
• DOE fingerprinting clearance
• 2–3 years of experience in medicine (pediatrics preferred)
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
