Role Snapshot:
Title: Senior General Superintendent
Location: CT | Nationwide | Project-based (relocation & travel required)
Project Size: $50M – $100M+
Compensation: $145,000 – $260,000 base + full benefits & retirement
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide senior-level oversight of field operations, coordinating trade contractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule performance
Lead and develop large, multi-discipline superintendent and field teams
Serve as the primary safety authority on site, driving safety strategy and compliance across all trades
Manage general conditions budgets and Next150 / Site Services operations
Lead site walks with owners, architects, engineers, and financial partners
Direct jobsite logistics, sequencing, inspections, shutdowns, and complex tie-ins
Oversee Quality in Construction (QIC) planning and execution
Resolve jurisdictional issues in collaboration with business unit leadership
Mentor senior field staff and actively lead superintendent peer groups and technical training
Partner with project management and business development on pursuits, preconstruction, scopes of work, and buyout activities
Support client relationships, market engagement, and strategic growth initiatives
Translate organizational strategy into clear field execution and team accountability
What Is Sought:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects $50M–$100M+
Extensive experience leading major ground-up construction projects
Proven ability to supervise and develop large, multi-layer project teams
OSHA 30 certification (required); STS-C and advanced safety credentials preferred
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, cost control, and labor relations
Familiarity with Pull Planning and advanced scheduling practices
High level of construction document and drawing literacy
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Willingness to travel and relocate for project assignments nationwide
