Title: Accountant
Salary: $90,000 – 110,000 +Bonus
Location: Hartford, CT -Hybrid

What makes this role interesting is the breadth of exposure.
Rather than spending all of your time focused on transactional accounting, you’ll have an opportunity to develop experience across accounting, FP&A, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering while working within a large global organization.
For an accountant who wants to continue developing and position themselves for broader finance opportunities down the road, this is a role worth exploring.

We’re working with a large, well-established global organization that is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its North & Central America corporate finance team in West Hartford.
This is a nice opportunity for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience who wants to broaden their responsibilities and gain exposure beyond traditional accounting.
You’ll be involved in the monthly close and financial reporting, but you’ll also work closely with FP&A and leaders across Finance, HR and Legal, helping analyze results, explain variances and support business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Handle key pieces of the monthly financial close, including journal entries, reporting, intercompany activity and reconciliations
• Perform financial analysis across North & Central American business entities, including sales and income reporting
• Work with FP&A on variance analysis, reporting and financial storytelling
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Partner with leaders across Finance, HR and Legal
• Assist with balance sheet reviews, internal controls and audit support
• Help build reports and provide analysis for different areas of the business
• Get involved in special projects and process improvements within corporate finance

What We’re Looking For

We’d like to speak with accountants who have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Strong Excel skills are important, along with experience using financial reporting or ERP tools. Experience with SAP BPC, SAP ERP, Anaplan, Planful or EPM Cloud would be helpful, but you don’t need to have worked with every system listed.
We’re especially interested in someone who is analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working with people outside of Accounting.
There is also an increasing focus on technology within the finance organization, including tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot and ChatGPT, so this is a good environment for someone interested in how technology is changing corporate finance.
