A top-10 national construction management firm with impressive history spanning over a century is looking for a Superintendent to run day-to-day field operations on major commercial and industrial projects: schools, hospitals, labs, corporate offices, sports venues and more. This is a family-owned company known for investing heavily in its people, with a dedicated internal university for leadership and technical training.

Location: New Haven County, CT
Salary: $145,000–$190,000 DPOE +Benefits

Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate trade contractors and sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work on schedule
Supervise and develop the project team, mentoring junior superintendents and project members
Manage the general conditions and site services budget
Lead site walks with owners, architects/engineers, and financial institutions to demonstrate progress
Act as primary safety representative, driving safety strategy and culture across all trades
Lead contractor meetings and oversee daily reporting accuracy
Manage jobsite logistics and the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan
Resolve jurisdictional disputes with business unit leadership support
Lead ground-up construction efforts, including foundation work
Participate in business development, client pursuits, and preconstruction planning
Coach and develop team members’ careers, translating organizational strategy into team action

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
15+ years leading superintendent roles on $50M–$100M+ commercial/industrial projects
OSHA 30-hour and STS-C certified
First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed trained
Proven experience supervising and leading a large project team
Strong knowledge of construction safety processes and labor relations
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard construction software
Familiarity with the Pull Planning Process and all divisions of construction work
