Project Superintendent

Seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to provide full-time, on-site leadership for complex construction projects. This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, supervising subcontractors, ensuring schedule adherence, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive field experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver projects efficiently and safely from start to finish.
Title: Project Superintendent
Locations: Connecticut (CT), Rhode Island (RI), Pennsylvania (PA), Virginia (VA)
Compensation: $110,000-$135,000, DOE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous, full-time on-site supervision for assigned construction projects through completion and acceptance
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and daily field activities
Ensure project schedules are maintained and production goals are met
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and critical path schedules
Enforce safety compliance and hazard identification in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and applicable regulations
Attend and participate in quality control, coordination, and project meetings
Coordinate with Project Managers, Quality Control personnel, and inspectors to ensure contractual compliance
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism on site
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity
Demonstrated experience with hazard identification, safety compliance, and construction scheduling
Proven ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
In-depth knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
The Project Superintendent may not serve as the Quality Control (QC) Manager
Communication Requirements:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
Effective communication skills with subcontractors, inspectors, owners, and internal teams
A qualified Superintendent or approved alternate must be present on-site at all times during active construction
Travel & Work Requirements:
Willingness to travel and work at project locations across CT, RI, PA, and VA
Ability to remain on-site for the full duration of assigned projects
Proof of qualifications may be requested if performance concerns arise

Employer match of up to 3% of base salary for the first 3% of employee contribution
Additional 0.5% match for each 1% contributed up to 5% of gross salary
Total employer match not to exceed 4% of base annual salary
Two (2) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)
Lodging provided for projects located away from the employee’s home
